Merino wool is a natural fibre, and it's one of our favourite materials for a reason (well, actually, for several reasons). It's naturally moisture-wicking, anti-microbial, and odour-resistant. It also happens to be an incredible insulator. All of this translates to an always-warm-but-never-sticky sleep experience—no wonder it's the star of the show in our Humidity-Fighing Duvet.

The main difference between down vs. down alternative duvets is the filling. Down duvets are made with filling sourced from the undercoat of birds, while down alternative duvets use filling that is made from a synthetic fibre (often polyester) that mimics the softness of traditional down. Down alternative duvets may also be more ethical and sustainable than traditional down duvets.

Wool or high-quality down are considered to be the warmest duvet fillings. The Casper Humidity-Fighting Duvet features organic Merino wool, which is a natural insulator, as well as polyester made from recycled water bottles.

To wash your Casper duvet, machine wash it on a cold, gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls to help maintain its loft, and remove it promptly once dry. Do not iron or dry clean the duvet.
